It started off as a social game only available on Facebook and has since expanded with two different mobile platforms and a couple of apps, too.

Late last year, MyVEGAS launched a slots app for mobile phones and tablets. Due to its popularity, a blackjack app was added this year. And, it won’t be the last for the franchise as a video poker app is already planned.

Social casino games, in general, are having a great year. Revenue is expected to be north of $3 billion. Sixty million of that will be earned by MyVEGAS alone. That sounds like a lot, but it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.


Here’s what 2014 brought for MyVEGAS:

  • More than $10 million in reward redemptions from approximately 100,000 players
  • 10,000 rewards a week, more than half to newer players
  • Average player logs on three times a day for 45-90 minutes

MyVEGAS isn’t resting on its laurels. In addition to new games, new rewards continue to pop up. You can now get more rewards at various MGM Resorts in Las Vegas and in Mississippi, too. Those rewards are mostly geared towards tourists. In September, MyVEGAS added a new hotel partner, Station Casinos. Now, locals can earn more freebies, too.


MyVEGAS also added more non-hotel partners like the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and The Smith Center this year. Players have also seen non-Vegas rewards like UFC live streaming and Royal Caribbean Cruises. MyVEGAS has already stated plans to add more partners inside and outside of Las Vegas next year.


Even though this has been a big year for MyVEGAS, the game doesn’t come without its detractors. Players that have been with the game since its inception have noted less valuable rewards and a lot more restrictions. Despite the limitations, the game continues to grow and become more and more popular, especially with new visitors to Las Vegas.
